We don't run servers, so we don't have your data.

What WattsNear collects
Nothing on our servers — WattsNear has no servers. Your device communicates directly with the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) public charging-station API to fetch station data.
Location data
Your device's location is used only to query nearby chargers and is sent to NREL's API with each request (latitude / longitude). We do not store, log, or forward your location. Location access is optional — you can deny it and still search by panning the map.
Favorites, history & charging sessions
Favorites, recent searches, avoided stations, vehicle profiles, and charging sessions are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud Sync in Settings, this data is stored in your private iCloud database (not accessible to us) and synced across your Apple devices. Disable sync or delete entries from within the app at any time.
In-app purchases
The "Remove Ads" in-app purchase is processed by Apple via StoreKit. WattsNear does not receive or store your payment information — Apple handles everything.
Advertising
The free version of WattsNear displays banner ads served by Google AdMob. Google may use non-personally-identifiable signals (such as device type and general location) to serve contextual ads. No cross-app tracking identifier (IDFA) is requested. The "Remove Ads" purchase strips all ads.
Analytics & tracking
WattsNear does not include analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or any tracking that follows you across other apps or websites.
